I used to bleach my hair blond in thick streaks now its broken off but the rest of my hair is below

the bits that have broken off are above my ears, how can I keep it in good condition and let it grow - also a fan of the straighteners but I don't straighten the broken bits just the ends, any products or ideas I could use?

Lay off the bleaching for awhile. Use Damage Remedy from Aveda...it really is great at repairing hair.

A great straightener is the CHI...a bit pricey at the cheapest at around $95 but the bast you will buy.

exact same thing happened to me when i was 15, just keep conditioning it loadz and keep conditioner on your hair overnight twice a week, u dont need to cut it, it will go back normal again.

You can try a hair serum on the broken pieces to see if that helps to smooth them. There is no actual hair repair solution that really repairs your hair....they only mask the problem. Your hair is not living, it is a dead extension made of protein just as your nails. Coloring, blow drying, perms and things of the such lift the cuticle on your hair shaft causing damage. After you wash your hair, rinse with cold water as this helps to smooth the cuticle....hot water lifts the cuticle more giving a frizzy appearance. Your hair will need to grow back out and a trim with layers so that the broken pieces can be removed to some degree may help. A good haircut will give you the healthiest result but you can try the layer cut with a good stylist.

I would probably add some layers in your hair so the broken off pieces dont stand out so much... you can keep your longest length as your bottom layer and then add a few layers all over. I would use a leave in conditioner spray while its wet, use a pick to brush your hair when its wet, to keep the short pieces from breaking off some more. Use a spray that is used for heat styling also. be gentle with your hair!

Deep conditioning and a trim up with layers.

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

My girlfriend turned my air olive green. I was the post child of why you shouldn閳ユ獩 do your hair at home. At hours in a salon, my hair was breaking an inch from my head. I cried for about a week and started searching. And I found.

www.biolustreflorida.com

I am a true believer, the green air was about 4 years ago but now I purchase an at home kit monthly and do a treatment the day before my coloring and then do the other treatment the day after. My hair is platinum blonde (colored from dark brown, I color it every 3 weeks) and way past my bra strap.

This stuff works! Everyone also tells me I have beautiful hair. www.biolustreflorida.com is the bomb!

Instantly repairs your hair, increase tensile strength=staying power=retaining what you have, so no flyaways in tub or brush=longer hair in a month.
