have it cut shortish. My hair is thick and I used to wear it long and it was just hell to comb through every morning. Shorter hair will make you stand out from the crowd and it means you can stay in bed longer in the morning.

You lucky thing! Why not just get it cut to a more manageable length? It sounds lovely as it is.

Failing that, get a good hairstyle magazine and see if anything takes your fancy.

Going to a reputable salon and seeking the advise of a hairdresser is really what's best to do. They can advise you on hairstyles that will be easy for you too maintain... look through their books too... you may see a style that you really love, and you can show the stylist.

My sister has long thick naturally curly hair and she has hers cut into layers but she would suggest you dont have a fringe as they tend to curl up and look like pigs tails on your forhead. It also depends on the shape of your face my sisters is round so layers suits her but if you have a square jaw you may need a short cut that curves around your jaw to define it where as an obolong shaped face can get away with most cuts.

I have curly hair thats pretty long...if you hair is not the frizzy type then cut it short as it will make your features stand out more.

If it is frizzy...as curly hair tends to be...then go to a hair dresser that knows curly hair and cut some well position layers for curly hair that will make you hair more interesting.

Or change your fringe...

Few tips for curly hair....

wash it and put a good quality conditioner

then towel dry and brush it, then wrap it in a towel- wait for a while

put some leave in conditioner

then wrap in a new dry towel again

leave till it semi -dries and add some product or anti-frizz...

then let it dry completely

I think it would look good if you cut it shoulder length and straightened it along with layers. Ask your hairdresser when you go to get it done though. While you're waiting, all hair places have books of hairstyles you can look at to get ideas. Make sure to ask her if it will fit according to your face shape as well. Layers look nice and they also make your hair thinner since you're getting some cut off all around your head. Good luck!

While it is wet and just brushed or combed, give it an under plat starting from the frindge and adding more as you go.

Alternatively, pony-tail then make a gap in your hair just above the band. Feed the tail in from the top. This is known as a "pony-pull" looks elegant and you can get a little loop that helps pull the tail through.

try the curls on down part only.. not the whole part of your hair got it? or simply have it cut and rebonded. rebonding can make your hair thin and its much easier to manage. it can make you look good too.

have it thinned out and put some layers through it. use a shampoo and conditioner that is designed for curly hair. and use anti frizz products, there are thousands of them.

dont get it cut too short or you will just end up looking out of place, mid-length would bee good. but how long is your hair anyway?

i have thick long hair too. i dont really recommend cutting it "short". it makes it look even thicker and bushier. long hair is more flatterin anyways usually. if you do get it cut, either do layers or if you get it cut short have them thin it out

i had down to my bum which is thick and curly. i had it cut to the middle of my back - its much more manageable and in much better condition.

The hairdresser also put layers in it for me.
