Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

I have wavy curly hair, and I want it to grow out to something like this:

This is my hair:

(it's not as messy as it usually is because i just got out of the shower)

So, my question is, is it possible for me to get hair like that? What do i need to do to get it that way? How long will it take?

You need to let it grow out long enough so you can start using a flat iron on it. That will make it nice and straight.

Also, after you get out of the shower, you should use the hair dryer on your hair combing it straight and in the direction that you want it until its completely dry. It may still have some frizz so that's when you get out the flat iron and smooth it out.

Your hair is not yet long enough for that style. You should wait a little longer until it's grown out. Hair like that for you is possible, you will have to seek professional hair stylists for it thought. And it won't stay like that, you will need to buy products. Things are never easy, right? ;)

maybe get it chemically straightened, and maybe get some fizz control, leave in conditioner

All you need to do this is to cut your dead ends frequently. Grow out hair and use hot oil treatment to add shine to your hair. Use a wax texturizer and weightless hair spray. You can rock like that model.

Cheers!!!

You seriously will need to purchase a good quality straightener appliance and use a hair straightening serum. The difference between a $20 appliance and a $100 one, is how well and for how long your hair will keep straight! You'd probably also want to use hair wax, to create the piecy/spiky look in that picture.

Hi,you could try getting your hair thinned out a bit,ask the stylist/hairdresser/barber,if they can cut it so that it will grow towards the style you want then each time you go back they can gradually get it to how you want it.In the mean time you could use shock waves hair gel and shape it into that spiky fringed effect.

that guy clearly used straightners...

Good conditioning, and trimmimg frequently will give you long hair, but your hair will not look as poker straight unless you blow dry it and/or use straightners on it, followed by some wax to style it.
